The American Slovenian Education Foundation (ASEF) invites applications for its Visiting Slovenia scholarship programme, which offers young people of Slovenian descent living abroad an opportunity to gain research or professional experience in Slovenia.
The programme provides a 10-week research visit or professional internship at a Slovenian university, research institute or company. Under the guidance of experienced mentors, scholarship recipients gain new knowledge, develop their professional skills and establish valuable international connections.
In addition to research or professional experience, the programme includes activities supporting personal and professional development, such as workshops, seminars, public lectures and networking events. Participants also have the opportunity to explore Slovenian culture, language and traditions and strengthen their ties with Slovenia.
Applications for the 2027 generation are open as of 26 October 2026.
